Dr Jocelyn Fredlund provides medical expertise and clinical guidance for the exceptional team at Brintnell Veterinary Hospital in Northeast Edmonton. She and the talented members of her team would love to meet your pet!
Dr. Fredlund has wanted to be a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. She grew up with hamsters, dogs, cats, rats, snakes, and even a crow in her family.
Dr. Fredlund graduated in 1998 from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, then moved to Edmonton to begin her regular practice. She also has experience in emergency, rehab, and shelter medicine. She believes that the best veterinary practices emphasize communication with pet owners to ensure they are making choices that are best for them and their furry friends.
Dr. Fredlund is in a committed relationship with Pickles the horse, Lily the greyhound cross, Blueberry, Mango, and Freya the cats, and a few humans.
Jennifer has always had a deep love for animals and a desire to care for them. She graduated from NAIT's Animal Health Technology program in 2008 and worked in several small animal practices before founding Brintnell Veterinary Hospital with Dr. Fredlund.
She has a particular interest in anesthesia, dentistry, and compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients.
Jennifer has a special fur baby in her life (Miss Pickle), along with a tank full of African Chichlids.
Since she was young, Colbey has always been passionate about animals and improving their lives. She graduated with honors from NAIT’s Animal Health Technology program in 2019 and after completing her practicum at Brintnell Veterinary Hospital, she was ecstatic to be offered a position as part of the team!
Colbey is excited to pursue her career goals and continue learning alongside the Brintell Veterinary Hospital team. In her spare time, she loves gardening, hiking, and camping with her husband Mitch, or just relaxing at home with their two cats, Gizmo and Gears, and their Basset hound Pearl.
Jamie graduated from NAIT with honours in 2004. Since then, she's worked in daytime, specialty and emergency practices. Her family includes multiple dogs and cats.
She loves being a Registered Veterinary Technologist because it gives her many opportunities to help all kinds of animals. She has a particularly keen interest in nutrition, behaviour, surgery, and dentistry. Jamie recently completed her Fear Free certification.
Britney started working in the veterinary industry in 2014, but her love of animals came long before then. Growing up, she was actively involved in horseback riding and was always trying to sneak a new (stray) animal into her parents’ house.
Today, Britney shares her home with two cats, Kitten and Hunter, and two dogs, Jagger and Myley. Britney’s boyfriend can also be spotted amongst the fur babies.
In her spare time, you’ll find Britney exploring the outdoors. They love hopping in the camper (yes, kitties too!) for weekend getaways in the wilderness.
Kelly entered veterinary medicine in 2013 while she was enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program at the University of Alberta. She developed an interest in animal behaviour, health, disease, and nutrition. After graduating, she followed her passion and continued to work in the veterinary industry. She appreciates the Brintnell Veterinary Hospital team's emphasis on providing an exceptional standard of care.
When she isn't working, she enjoys cuddling with her black cat Bagheera, reading thriller-suspense novels, training with her hip-hop crew, and spending time with family and friends.
